Development education grants deadline

Irish Aid, the Government’s official development assistance programme, is inviting applications from voluntary organisations and educational bodies for grants for development education projects, which are designed to increase awareness and understanding of development issues.

Irish Aid believes development education has a crucial role to play in increasing public understanding in Ireland of development issues, especially as they relate to developing countries. It seeks to challenge attitudes which perpetuate poverty and injustice and through education to empower people to act to bring about more equal development.
