British Energy’s staff have chosen Help the Hospices as their charity of the year for 2006-7, the third year that the company has partnered with a national charity. Last year the company raised more than £350,000 for The Prince’s Trust.

The company match funds anything raised by staff up to £100,000. Staff at British Energy sites across the country will be encouraged to get involved with their local hospice.

“Our employees selected Help the Hospices from a number of strong contenders. I know that our partnership over the next year will benefit both us and the charity.”
