Mick Aldridge is the new Chief Executive of the Public Fundraising Regulatory Association, having acted as interim director since Sue Brumpton’s departure in February.
Mick Aldridge was one of the founding members of the PFRA and a long time board member. He has held several senior positions within a number of fundraising agencies in a professional fundraising career that spans over 14 years.
He was appointed chief executive following an external recruitment exercise.
Mick says that his priorities for the PFRA will include increasing membership numbers and the benefits of membership, deepening the PFRA contribution to transparency (ImpACT) and self-regulatory (FSB) initiatives, and engaging with partners in preparation for the enactment of new charities legislation, in particular with local authorities, especially London Boroughs, which are soon to assume new fundraising licensing responsibilities.
