The Association of Fundraising Consultants (AFC) is to host “the first ever” conference dedicated to fundraising consultants in the UK on 19 June 2006 in London. It hopes that the forum will become an annual event.

The Forum is designed to provide practical tips for fundraising consultancies and consultants as well as stimulate discussions and debate on how to develop best practice in the sector.

The forum will begin with a plenary session from Robert Brooke, formely partner at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and chairman of Dunlop Slazenger Group. Robert is currently deputy chairman of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, chairman of Team First 200 Trust as well as a governor of Brambletye School.

This will be followed by a series of ’round table’ topics facilitated by representatives of some of the leading fundraising consultancies, the Home Office and a leading charity lawyer.

The event is open to fundraising consultants from all disciplines and from all sizes and shapes of organisation.

The Forum will be held at The Lansdowne Club, Berkeley Square, London W1 and starts at midday with lunch. The day will finish at 4.40pm.

The cost is £55 + VAT per delegate.
