Charities' Online Accounts Awards open for applications

Howard Lake | 11 April 2006 | News

Charities are now invited to submit applications to this year’s Charities’ Online Accounts Awards, which aim to raise the standard of online annual reports and encourage more charities to publish their financial information online.

Now in their fourth year, the awards are sponsored by CAF (Charities Aid Foundation) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

One of the charities to win first prize in its income category last year was The Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust. It received £5,000 in prize money in the £500,000 – £2 million income category for its technically comprehensive set of accounts. They were commended by the judges for their good use of online design and photography.

The competition is split into four entry categories: charities with an income below £100,000; between £100,000 and £500,000; between £500,000 and £2million; and over £2 million. The top 100 charities listed by voluntary income in CAF’s Charity Trends will automatically be entered.

The competition is free and CAF says that entry “takes only five minutes”.

UK Fundraising is proud to be online media partner for this year’s awards.
