BG Group to continue partnership with CARE International

BG Group has announced that it will continue its partnership with CARE International and has launched the BG Energy Challenge, a series of international challenge events for people working in the energy industry.

Five events, consisting of a series of mental and physical challenges, will take place worldwide over the next 12 months. Each team participating in the UK event is expected to raise a minimum of £5000 for CARE International.

BG Group has a long standing relationship with CARE and in 2005 its UK event raised more than £215,000 for the charity. Previous BG events have raised more than 1.7million for charity since 1996.

The UK event will take place in Aberystwyth, Wales from 6-9th July. CARE international staff will available to advise teams on their fundraising in the run to up to the event.
