UK Fundraising's Perfect Pitch HR on 1 March
UK Fundraising’s Perfect Pitch HR one-day event on 1 March is already attracting delegates, and the first speakers will be announced shortly.
Following successful one-day showcases on IT and Gift Aid last year, UK Fundraising decided to focus on the issues of HR after feedback from our survey in association with Keystone. The survey highlighted that there are major issues facing the sector for successful recruitment of fundraisers, directors, CEOs and other good quality staff.
For this reason UK Fundraising has decided its next free one-day showcase will address HR. Speakers from HR specialists will address some of the key problems faced by the sector in recruiting today, such as:
- creating the right impression from the advertisement and literature supplied
- interviewing
- what kind of person and their past experience would be well-suite to this role?
- I recruit the right person only to find they leave. Why is this and how do I retain my staff?
These are just some of the issues raised by UK Fundraising’s readers and survey respondents.
UK Fundraising has reported on the charity and fundraising job market since its launch, featuring the various salary surveys plus individual new appointments. Last year, in association with Keystone, the site itself ran a survey giving charities, non-profit organisations and the fundraising industry the opportunity to voice their issues and concerns. The results were invaluable and highlighted this was an important area needing further discussion and investigation.
UK Fundraising’s Perfect Pitch HR will take place on 1 March 2006.
Delegates can attend at no charge and online registration is open.
