NCVO and CAF report UK public gave £8.2 billion last year

NCVO and CAF have published new data on charitable giving in the UK revealing that people gave an average of £14.17 each per month to charity.

The statistics are based on a survey conducted by ONS. The UK public gave £8.2 billion to charity during 2004/05, with an average gifts of £14.17 per person per month, or about £170 a year.

CAF and NCVO have broken down the data by gender and age, and by region.
