Charities' preview of GuideStar UK to close this month

The GuideStar UK preview for charities is drawing to a close. If you’d like to check your charity’s listing before the site goes live to the public next month, you have until the end of October to do so.

Charities have had five weeks to log in to GuideStar UK to check their entries on the website and add any supporting documents they wish. GuideStar say that nearly 17,000 charities have done so, with another 250 each day joining them.

That said, there is no deadline for charities to access and edit their entries as this facility will be available after the launch.

The preview for charities is the final stage of testing and consultation on the website before the public launch.

Nearly 200 of the very largest charities (with annual incomes greater than £10 million) have previewed their listings, together with almost 8,000 of the smallest (with annual incomes less than £10,000).

Some charities have chosen to upload their logos to customise their entries and added news about recent activities and accomplishments or upcoming events or campaigns. Documents uploaded include Annual Reviews, press releases, newsletters and grant application packs.

The website will be launched to the public in mid November.
