New charities unit at newly merged HM Revenue and Customs

Howard Lake | 17 April 2005 | News

Now that Customs and Excise and the Inland Revenue have merged into HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), there is a new business unit designed to deal exclusively with charities.

The new Charities Unit will deal both with charitable organisations and with charitable donations.

An advisory group is planned so that representatives of the charity sector can contribute to the development of the unit.
