UK's 'most generous boss' to give away profits to local charities

Howard Lake | 8 February 2005 | News

Businessman Colin Potter sold his company last year for £10 million and gave £2 million of that to his staff. He now intends to give away all future profits of his new business to charity.

His new company, ProposalGENie, offers a web-based system for preparing sales proposals. According to Personnel Today, he expects to start making grants by the end of this year.

Potter, who sold his communications company Uniworld last year, is particularly supportive of conductive education charity the Rainbow Centre in Fareham, Hampshire. He currently spends a day each week fundraising for the organisation.
