Cancer Research UK has appointed Sarah Lyness and Richard Taylor as Co-Executive Directors of its Fundraising and Marketing Directorate.

Both appointments are internal candidates: Lyness was previously Marketing Director for the charity while Taylor was Retail Director.

Together they will share the leadership role for the strategy and culture within the Directorate, while taking individual responsibility for specific areas of the charity’s fundraising work.

Richard Taylor joined Imperial Cancer Research Fund in 1998 as Head of Retail, staying with the charity as Retail Director through its merger with Cancer Research Campaign in 2002. Sarah Lyness joined the charity from Oxfam and launched the new Cancer Research UK brand at merger.
