Dunfermline Building Society chooses six charities to support
Instead of opting for the usual single charity of the year, Dunfermline Building Society has chosen to support six Scottish charities.
As well as supporting six charities, the Dunfermline Building Society (DBS) is supporting them for two years rather than the more common one year. Each will benefit from both practical and financial support.
All six charities chosen by the DBS focus on local community issues, benefiting all age ranges. Each will benefit from practical and financial support for the next two years.

The beneficiary charities are:
- Alzheimer Scotland
- Shelter
- Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS)
- Scottish Society for Autism
- The Prince’s Trust
- Age Concern Scotland
DBS’ Chief Executive Graeme Dalziel, who is the current holder of the HRH Prince of Wales Ambassador Award for Scottish Business in the Community, said: “In addition to providing financial support, we will be working hard to raise awareness of these six charities to our members, encouraging staff and members to get actively involved, and offering charity staff the opportunity to participate in our training and development programmes.
DBS has over 350,000 members who use its branch-based, postal and telephone service.
