Nick Stanhope has used his experience of saddle sores to produce the first guide to preparing and undertaking an endurance event or expedition to raise funds for charity.

‘Blood, Sweath and Charity’ provides advice for anyone wanting to motorbike around the world, climb the highest mountains, or cross continents to raise funds for charity.

Author Nick Stanhope shares his experience on finding the right charity, planning your challenge, plotting the route, who to take with you, how to raise the money, how to court the media and generate wider public interest, and what you need to do to look after yourself in times of stress and strain.

Nick’s advice is based on organising and completing the Cape Town to London Cycle trip for Anti-Slavery International. “I… got so much from the trip that I was desperate to encourage as many people as possible to take on something similar,” he said.

The book will be published in May 2005, but you can pre-order it already at Amazon.co.uk.
