£32,000 won for NCH on TV's Millionaire by newsreaders
Newsreaders Dermot Murnaghan and Angela Rippon OBE won £32,000 on ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ for children’s charity NCH.
The pair faced question master Chris Tarrant as part a celebrity edition of the popular game show, now in it’s 16th year, which was shown on ITV 1 on Saturday 18 September 2004.
The celebrity supporters of NCH failed to answer the £64,000 question “St Crispin’s Day falls in which month?’ They guessed April but it was October.

NCH has a Celebrity Manager on its fundraising team, Richard White. He said: “Angela and Dermot are two of
NCH’s most dedicated supporters and we are very grateful to them both for
choosing NCH to benefit from their appearance on the show.”
