New Communications Director at British Red Cross

The British Red Cross has appointed Phil Talbot as Director of Communications. He takes up the new position on 15 July 2004.

In this role Phil will oversee the charity’s press and public relations, public affairs, marketing, campaigns, internal communications, publications, exhibitions, Web site, public enquiries and its museum and archives.

He is currently deputy director of communications at the NSPCC, where he has worked for the last five years. Before that he spent seven years at The Body Shop, where he had several roles, including global communications PR manager and head of communications for the Body Shop in Australia.
