New PR and Web site manager at Giving Nation

Lindsey Bailey has joined Giving Nation, the campaign to encourage young people to give to others, as its PR and Web site Manager.
Lindsey joins the national campaign as it expands in its second year. She has six years’ experience in the consumer sector, with consultancy roles including PR manager for the Foreign & Commonwealth Office’s travel awareness campaigns, in particular their youth travel campaign.
Lindsey said: “I am very excited about working with such a dynamic campaign that taps into the youth culture to get young people to be committed givers, not just giving their money, but their time and their voice also.
“The G-Nation website has just been revamped in preparation for G-Week at the end of June 2004 and this is sure to be a busy period, working with schools to activate charity projects. My main function will be to implement the communications strategy that helps position Giving Nation as the charity platform for young people via their schools, whilst maintaining the interactive Web site as a hub for young people’s news, views and ideas on charitable giving.”
So far over 2,000 secondary schools have ordered the Giving Nation Citizenship pack. Giving Nation culminates in G-Week (26 June – 2 July 2004 in England, Wales and N.Ireland and from 1-7 June 2004 in Scotland), a week long national celebration of giving involving hundreds of schools across the UK participating in charitable, fundraising and community activities.
