SocietyGuardian publishes more on Giving List 2003
SocietyGuardian.co.uk has now published more content and comment on The Giving List 2003, published at no charge in Monday’s issue of The Guardian newspaper.
Although there is no full publication of the list itself, SocietyGuardian has now published a range of items about this year’s Giving List. There is a report about the 103 companies that manage to give at least 1% of their pre-tax profits to charity. Liza Ramrayka looks at why corporate giving still lags far behind individual donations as a major source of charity income. There is also comment on corporate giving in Europe and the USA.
Derek Higgs comments on how corporate governance must play a key role in shaping corporate behaviour, and Prem Sikka calls on the treasury select committee to investigate corporate social responsibility and organised tax avoidance.
