Richard Dunwoody commits to fighting paralysis
Jockey Richard Dunwoody MBE is to fundraise for Spinal Research, the charity dedicated to funding research into spinal cord repair.
Five-time National Hunt Jockey of the Year and the rider of nearly 1,900 winning horses, Dunwoody has agreed to undertake a number of challenging fundraising events in aid of Spinal Research. These will take him from the roads of Newcastle in the Great North Run, to the highest mountain in the Andes, from driving in the World Cup Rally in Tunisia to the Flora London Marathon.
Richard himself had a lucky escape when he sustained a neck injury after falling from his horse in 1998.
