UN's World Food Programme starts to fundraise online

The World Food Programme is encouraging individuals to donate online with their credit cards to help it combat hunger.

The development, which includes a new “Support WFP” section on the organisation’s Web site, follows increased offers of support over the past few years from companies and individuals.

WFP says that it receives no dues or UN assessed contributions.
