Bet 4 Charity launches

Bet 4 Charity Casino launches today from Curacao in the Netherlands Antilles, claiming to be “the first online charitable casino that lets players choose the recipient of the Casino’s donations.”
Charities can benefit in three ways, says the casino. First, each month the casino says that it will match the winnings of three of its top ten players and donate those amounts to the winners’ chosen charity. Secondly, they will select at random one of the listed charities to be their Charity of the Week, and donate to them “a share of the casino’s monthly net profit.” Thirdly, all charities that link their Web sites to Bet 4 Charity.com will receive “up to 35% of the net gaming profits generated by players referred from the charity website.”
There are 36 participating charities listed at present, apparently all US organisations, such as Greenpeace USA, American Hospice Foundation, and the American Red Cross.
