A Norwegian court has convicted the former head of UNICEF’s Water and Sanitation section in Copenhagen of defrauding the aid agency of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

A Norwegian court has convicted the former head of UNICEF’s Water and Sanitation section in Copenhagen of defrauding the aid agency of hundreds of thousands of dollars. The 53 year old Norwegian has been sentenced to five and a half years in prison and ordered to pay $1.6 million in compensation to UNICEF. He has two weeks in which to appeal against the judgement.
