Michael Young, “the greatest social entrepreneur of the 20th century” according to the The School for Social Entrepreneurs, has died aged 86. He was instrumental in creating the Consumers’ Association, the National and International Extension Colleges, the Open University, University of the Third Age, and the School for Social Entrepreneurs.
Asa Briggs published a biography of Michael Young just last year.
