Law firm Nabarro Nathanson has released the results of its survey of charities’ Web sites.

The firm claims that 39% of charities that featured links on their Web sites to commercial participator-run fundraising activities were operating illegally. The charities did not have commercial participator agreements in place with these companies, whose services included running events or donating a percentage of sales to the charity.

The report Online: How Charities Use the Web compiled results from the firm’s 140 charity clients.
