NCDL’s revamped Web site is reviewed in this month’s Internet magazine.

The National Canine Defence League’s (NCDL) Web site is reviewed in the October 2001 edition of Internet magazine. Reviewer Kim Gilmour gives it three stars out of five for design and two out of five for content.

Gilmour notes that the charity has redesigned the site from scratch and has included “improved features” such as regular news updates and a bright interface. Unfortunately she argues that the site’s navigation is “mediocre and can get tricky.”

The site was created by e-business integration company Red Banner. NCDL manages all the content. Red Banner told Internet Magazine that a project like NCDL’s could cost “around £20,000 – £50,000.”

Online fundraising content includes the facility to donate by direct debit online.

NCDL is gathering e-mail addresses from donors who give online but “there are no short term plans to use them in marketing activities.” Not surprisingly NCDL say that this is “a huge possibility.”
