Direct mail still dominant

Direct mail is not going to be eclipsed by e-mail for the next five years at least, argue analysts.

Paper-based direct mail will continue to be the most effective method of reaching people in the UK, according to Bell Howell Mail and Messaging Technologies. E-mail direct marketing will rise to 9-27% of all direct mail campaigns by 2003, but paper-based direct mail will remain dominant.
