The Institute of Charity Fundraising Managers has launched a legacy promotion campaign. Many charities run legacy campaigns of course, but this sector-wide initiative is different. It aims to encourage fundraisers and potential donors to recognise legacies as a vital source of income for charities of all types and sizes.

The Institute of Charity Fundraising Managers has launched a legacy promotion campaign. Many charities run legacy campaigns of course, but this sector-wide initiative is different. It aims to encourage fundraisers and potential donors to recognise legacies as a vital source of income for charities of all types and sizes.

It also aims to “dispel misconceptions and misunderstandings” about legacy fundraising, still regarded as a peculiar and slighly distasteful form of fundraising by too many fundraisers and charity managers.
