New War Child Trustees defend their record

Following the Guardian’s report on the corruption scandal at War Child UK, the charity’s current trustees have mounted a defence of the charity’s recent record, after actions were taken to deal with the corruption. In a letter to The Guardian, patrons and trustees state: “War Child “started as a daring and innovative charity” and the current board, staff and patrons are determined that the ideals at the heart of the charity will remain.”
