Following the US lead?

UK Fundraising has always included coverage of fundraising developments in the USA and other countries on the grounds of spreading news of best practice or good ideas. However, assumptions that the UK voluntary sectors must automatically follow the lead of the USA non-profit sector are challenged by Margaret Harris at SocietyGuardian. “This is a simplistic analysis which takes no account of fundamental historical and sociological differences between the US and the UK,” says the professor of voluntary sector organisation at Aston Business School.
