Tax-efficient donations as Christmas presents

The Observer’s Money section today recommends giving a tax-efficient donation to charity as a Christmas present. “Rather than appealing to someone’s avaricious side, you could always make a financial gift that speaks to their better nature – by giving to charity on their behalf.” The article features several of the Charities Aid Foundation tax-efficient giving products.
