Are you an upstart? An UpStart is a social entrepreneur and a new award has been announced for to develop these people. The UpStarts Awards offer a total of £50,000 to help social entrepreneurs with the right spirit, energy and attitude to get their projects off the ground. This is an opportunity for three passionate individuals to change their careers and their lives and the lives of others. The Awards will ‘buy’ them time and space to focus on their project.
Entry is free and open to all permanent UK residents, and applications close in May 2001.
