Popp-e appeal
The Royal British Legion has launched its Poppy appeal Web site and is accepting online donations via telephone billing for the first time. Donors can make donations online by allowing the site to reconnect their PC to a premium rate telephone line for a set fee. This fee appears on the donors’ telephone bill and the donation is credited to the Legion.

The site is the work of online marketing company Thirsty Fish. Based on last year’s successful Poppy Appeal site, the agency and charity have come up this year with a range of offers, including themed poppy screen savers, desktop wallpaper and a computer game. This year the site is encouraging donors with the slogan “Is your computer wearing a popp-e?”
