Charities face staff retention problems

The charity sector might boast some of the lowest staff absenteeism rates, but staff retention rates are the worst in any sector, and getting worse. These are the findings of a new survey from Compass Partnership. The survey of 18 national charities found an average annual staff turnover of 20%. Barnardo’s, for example, experienced a 24% turnover.
