Jewish charities raise over £500m a year

Research by the Institute for Jewish Policy Research has found that the UK Jewish voluntary sector raises more than £500m per year.

The report, The financial resources of the UK Jewish voluntary sector, found that the Jewish voluntary sector makes up 4% of the total income of the UK voluntary sector.

It found 1,910 operational organisations, with half of them being founded since 1980.

The research found that 590 of the UK’s 8,800 grant-making trusts gave some or all of their money to the Jewish voluntary sector.
