They've got 'em licked

Selling used postage stamps has been a popular, if not exactly lucrative, fundraising activity for many charities. The appeal for more stamps has now reached the Web in the form of Stamp For Causes.

Run by a voluntary Christian organisation, Stamp For Causes was started in 1995 as a means of fundraising by collecting used British and Foreign stamps. As Secretary Roger Darch points out, “these are items which most of us just throw away. Collecting stamps is an activity which most people can join in with if they wish, and doesn’t involve any large outlay.”

Funds are currently being raised for Christian centres which support adults with a learning disability in residential and day-service environments.
