Catherine Pettengell and Kate Anderson join the Alumni & Development team, part of the Development & Communications Office, which was created in April 2005 with the arrival of its first Director, Phil Chambers.

Animal charity The Blue Cross is publishing a direct response video via its website using Vividas' full-screen video streaming service.
To create the online video, full-screen video streaming technology specialists Vividas converted an existing Blue Cross advertisement that was originally designed for traditional broadcast channels.

The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation is inviting nominations for the 2007 Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize for organisations that have made "extraordinary contributions toward alleviating human suffering anywhere in the world". On offer is $1.5 million, the world's largest humanitarian award.

An amputee has successfully completed the fundraising challenge of a lifetime by becoming the first person to circumnavigate the Irish coast on a jet-ski. Matt Browne's efforts will raise around ‚€100,000 for the Rehab Foundation.

Sport Relief hit the top spot in the week ending 8th July 2006, rising from 4th position the previous week.
