Howard Lake to talk on Internet fundraising in Dublin

UK Fundraising's Howard Lake will present a half-day roundtable in Dublin on Internet fundraising on 26 May for the European Association for Planned Giving.

Diabetes UK 12th in top 50 best employers awards

Diabetes UK has been voted one of the best places to work in the UK at an awards ceremony sponsored by the Financial Times.

The charity came twelfth in the top 50 best employers award, fifth in the category of workplaces of a similar size and was voted the third best non profit organisation to work for in the UK.

This year's annual Fundraisers' Training Convention, organised by the Institute of Fundraising Northern Ireland, will be held on Thursday 30 June 2005 at the Beechlawn House Hotel, Dunmurry.

The theme for this year's conference is 'Funding the Future'.

EAPG to hold seminar in Liverpool on Major Gift Fundraising

Value of volunteer hour in USA goes up

Washington D.C.-based Independent Sector reports that the value of a volunteer hour in the USA has risen from $17.19 per hour in 2003 to $17.55 in 2004.

The estimate is reached using US Bureau of Labor statistics.

If accurate, it means that in 2004 volunteers contributed the equivalent of abuot $272 billion of service to nonprofit organisations.

nfpSynergy is moving a few hundred yards up the Farringdon Road to 40 Bowling Green Lane, London, EC1R 0NE.

The organisation's email will be down from 3pm today for 24 hours, and they request that email contact is avoided during that period.
