The Y Speak Consultation Fund (England) is offering up to £7,000 to develop consultation activities which are intended to allow children to contribute directly to decision making at local, regional, national and international levels.
The Y Speak Consultation Fund gives children and young people the chance to have their say about policies and services which affect them.

A Swansea coroner has recorded a verdict of accidental death in the case of Christopher Thomas, the 20 stone 10lb man who died in a fundraising bungee jump in August 2002 after the harness gave way.
Mr Thomas had jumped, along with others, to raise funds for Morriston Hospital's neurology unit. His was the first death in the UK during a charity bungee jump.

In the USA, United Way of Delaware, which manages fundraising campaigns on behalf of a number of local nonprofits, has announced that its new web-based system will save it over $20,000 a year.
The new web site, rolled out to 4,000 nonprofits, allows them to login securely and download their updated donor lists and funds transfer reports directly from the site.
