Scottish charities benefit from St. Andrews day gift

HBOS Plc today announced 3 Scottish charities would benefit from a £22,500 gift to celebrate St Andrews Day.

Downs Syndrome Scotland, Orcadia Creative Learning Centre and Scottish Pre-School Play Association will all receive a special donation of £5,000. Radio Forth's Help a Child Appeal will receive £7,500.

Course to give guidance on maximising income

Using the latest Full Cost Recovery Model designed by ACEVO and New Philanthropy Capital, a 'Full Cost Recovery' course in planned for Belfast in January. The course is seen as a valuable tool for people within voluntary organisations who put together contracts and funding applications.

Funding offered for rural women

A programme of funding for the rural women's sector in Northern Ireland has opened offering grants of up to £7,500. This call for applications is closing on the 31 January 2006.

The Sports Council for Northern Ireland has launched of a new investment programme for sport. The 'Sport in Our Community' investment programme is a culmination of several months of consultation with the sporting community and the evaluation of the 'Investing in Sport' and 'Community Sport' programme.

eBay for Charity, the new initiative that allows individuals to sell items on eBay to benefit charities, has opened its services to UK charities after its launch partnership with BBC Children in Need.

eBay for Charity, a partnership between MissionFish UK and eBay.co.uk, enables charities to benefit from buying and selling on eBay.

Wildlife Trusts' joint income passes £100 million

The Wildlife Trusts have achieved a record combined income, reaching over £100 million for the first time.

The Wildlife Trusts is a partnership of 47 local Wildlife Trusts across the UK, plus the Isle of Man and Alderney.

UK Fundraising has made a slight change to the running times for its Perfect Pitch - Gift Aid tomorrow afternoon. We'll be packing even more in from HM Revenue & Customs at the beginning so all presentations will now take place 15 minutes later than originally billed.
