A Tesco carrier bag has been auctioned online at eBay for £41 to raise funds for Age Concern, Tesco's charity of the year.
The bag was a standard Tesco plastic carrier bag featuring the logo of Age Concern, yet it still attracted 33 bids.

HM Revenue and Customs reports that Inheritance Tax revenues rose from £2.5 billion to £2.9 billion in the past tax year, not least because of the rise in value of property. This offers a timely opportunity to remind charity supporters of the importance of drawing up a will and leaving a legacy to charity to reduce the amount of IHT their estate might have to pay.

Islamic Aid has launched a TV advert to raise funds for its relief work in Pakistan and Kashmir following the recent earthquake.
In an email to supporters chairman Mahmood Hassan said that the appeal began broadcasting yesterday on ARY Digital, GEO UK, DM Digital, Vectone Urdu and Islam Channel.

Early Learning Centre (ELC), in association with The Royal Bank of Scotland, will launch a new Gift Card into stores next week which will benefit NSPCC and Children 1st.
The Gift Card is one of the first of its kind in the UK with a charitable element according to Early Learning Centre (ELC), It will replace the current paper gift voucher system.
