Calendar encourages small businesses to link with charities for PR

Howard Lake | 20 January 2004 | News

Mangla Sachdev of publicityworkshop.com has launched a 2004 Calendar of Special Events to help encourage small businesses to collaborate with charities for mutual publicity.

The 2004 Calendar of Special Events includes a month-by-month listing of over 200 UK & international events in 2004. Among these are events either organised by charities or that charities are involved with, including National Marriage Week, Loud Tie Day, International Forgiveness Day, National Ideas Week, and National Bike Week. Each listing is accompanied by the organisers’ contact details, including Web addresses & telephone numbers.

Sachdev commented: “I’ve been using this calendar for my clients to help organise their PR plan for 2004, and each one has at least one article coming out early next year in the media by tying in to an event. Seeing how successful it’s been, I’ve now decided to make it available to everyone.”

The 2004 Events & Story Ideas Calendar is available for £24.99, which also includes continuous updates of new events and special dates as and when they’re released by organisations. UK Fundraising readers can order the printed calendar at the discounted price of £19.99. A proportion of the proceeds from the calendar will be donated to various charities each month, says Sachdev.
