While I know we shouldn’t laugh at other people’s names, I am amused to note that the programme director of the new MSc in Grant Making Management which will be run from Cass Business School’s Centre for Charity Effectiveness is Peter Grant.

Almost as good as the Mr Coffin who was appointed recently as a legacy fundraiser for a UK charity. I’ll unearth (ha!) the details of his full name later.

As promised, here are details of the aptly-named Mr Coffin.

Will Coffin joined CSV (http://www.csv.org.uk) as Legacy Fundraiser at the end of 2003. According to Samantha Ihenacho, CSV’s Head of Fundraising, “he is doing a great job promoting legacies to our former volunteers as a way to support their favourite charity”.

Then there’s my good friend Andrew Peel “A Peel” at Sight Savers International and Bobbi Banks at Scope. I can also recall a brand manager named Matt Butters at Jacobs.

And now we have Lee Grant, the aptly named new Tax-Effective Giving Project Manager at the Institute of Fundraising:
