Hello, firth of all thank you for taking the time to read my post!

I spend a lot of my spare time making and creating things, which most of my friends seem rather impressed with, but i either give them away or they end up in my loft some where hidden away.

I came up with the idea that i could auction them off for money for charities.

I’m really good with Ebay so i was thinking of using that to auction my art and creations on, plus they have a few charities to choose from already.

This way i could get the enjoyment of making and creating whilst benefiting charities! which in turn would also make me feel good about myself.

Is this a good idea and would it be affective!?

any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello,
This looks fantastic! Would you be interested in having an auction on behalf of a small but successful charity in London? I am in charge of the fundraising campaign and presently recruiting volunteers.
    Please let me know.
    Thanks.

    Hello Possycat

That is a good idea, others get to enjoy your work and valuable funds are raised for charity.

Ebay give you benefits too – they do not charge you listing or final sale fees for the percentage that is given to charity. So you could give a percentage to charity and keep part of the sale price to cover the cost of materials. If that is important to you.

    If you search – http://donations.ebay.co.uk/donation/GW4CController?ACTION=BrowseAction&SUB_ACTION=GetSearchForNP

At the top of the page you will see the big charities and then you will find a list of all other smaller charities (if you search Children Fund International then you will find us and would be very happy for you to be the first person to support us on Ebay (End of plug)).

Really it is something that can free up space for yourself, give others something to have on their wall and for a charity to gain funds. A Win-Win in my book
