The Older Persons’ Fund is a long-term philanthropic fund which promotes the civic engagement of older people as a means of working towards making a difference in their communities. It builds on CFI’s long-standing engagement and commitment to supporting older people in their communities which has seen over €1 million invested in initiatives.
This year CFI is offering two categories of grant:
For both funding streams the grant scheme is for a project of 12 months duration only. Sustainability is not a requirement.
Applicants must show that service users/beneficiaries are involved or have been consulted in project planning where appropriate. Applicants must be prepared to evaluate and learn from their work, to share project learning and outcomes and participate in two Learning Networks of Grantees.
Applications will be judged on the following criteria:
Applicant organisations should have an annual income of not more than €2 million. Application forms can be accessed via the Community Foundation for Ireland‘s website.
The deadline for applications is 4.30 pm on Thursday 12th March 2020. Grants will be made by late May 2020 with work expected to begin in July 2020.
