Summary of the day
This session aims to provide you with information and ideas on raising funds from individual donors. The day will include practical exercises to explore how and why individuals give financial support to museums, and what steps you can take to encourage them given the current economic climate. It will also provide opportunities to learn from the experience of other delegates.
By the end of the day you will:
Have an understanding of the support available to lever funding from individuals;
Know why and how to build long-term relationships with individuals;
Understand how to fit individual giving into your museum’s planning;
Have the confidence to ensure the lessons learned make a real difference back at your museum
