National mobility charity Whizz-Kidz and Chailey Heritage School in Sussex have been chosen for this year’s Daily Mirror Christmas Appeal.

The appeal launches on 2 December and aims to raise around £50,000 for each charity. The newspaper will feature stories from each charity throughout December.

Whizz-Kidz provides disabled children and young people with customised mobility equipment such as wheelchairs and tricycles to give them independent mobility and enable them to participate in all aspects of society – at home, at school and at play. Chailey Heritage School caters for children with physical and learning disabilities, speech and language impairment.
