**Macmillan Cancer Support raised £265.4 million in fundraised income during 2025,
its highest total on record and £26 million more than in 2024, according to the

projects will grow to 5.5 million by 2045.

## Legacies pass £129 million

Legacy giving remained Macmillan’s largest source of income, accounting for 48.2
per cent of the total, up from 43.2 per cent in 2024. The charity received **gifts
in the wills of 3,076 people**, reaching a record £129.3 million, and recorded its**
largest ever individual legacy gift: a £22.4 million donation** from George Gerald
Kingsland Smith, who was inspired by the care his mother received from Macmillan
nurses in the late 1990s.

its CARE Grants programme for community-led projects, and committed £23.2 million
