# Charitable Travel launches hub to encourage holidaymakers to volunteer while away

**Social enterprise travel agent Charitable Travel has launched the ‘Big Holiday
Help’ – an online hub of volunteering projects available to holidaymakers seeking
to give back to the local community during their travels.**

The ‘[Big Holiday Help](https://charitable.travel/big-holiday-help/)’  resource 
has information about hands-on opportunities to make a positive impact on the community,
ecosystem or environment whilst on holiday. Opportunities range from helping with
dog walking at an animal shelter in Greece, and joining a beach clean in the Caribbean,
to planting trees in Florida or taking part in wildlife conservation monitoring 
programmes in the Canary Islands.

Melissa Tilling, CEO of [Charitable Travel](https://charitable.travel/),  which 
also offers travellers the opportunity to donate 5% of the cost of their holiday
to  charity, commented:
