**Despite the difficulties imposed by COVID, the Promenaders have managed to raise
funds for music charities.**

As the 2020 BBC Proms season draws to a close a total of £3,910 has been donated:**
£1,095** for CLIC Sargent and **£2,815** for Help Musicians. To help boost the total
the collection pages, hosted by JustGiving, will remain open for a week or so after
the end of the season.

Today the Promenaders’ chairman, Lee McLernon, delivered the laurel chaplet to the
Royal Albert Hall so that will be in place as normal on the bust of Sir Henry Wood
on the Last Night. The normal ceremony of it being placed by a pair of Promenaders
will not of course take place.

in conversation with violinist Tasmin Little, discussing the importance of live
music, and its audience. The segment begins around 38 minutes into the show, which
can be found on BBC Sounds.

So far a total of **£3,910** has been donated: £1,095 for CLIC Sargent and £2,815

young people with cancer) and for Help Musicians (supporting their COVID-19 hardship
fund).
