**Telephone fundraising agency [Pure Fundraising](http://www.purefundraising.co.uk/)
has appointed Helen Mackenzie as CEO.**

Mackenzie took up the role this month from invoice trading and supply chain finance
firm Platform Black where she had been head of strategic partnerships since January.

Prior to Platform Black, Mackenzie spent 10 months as head of new business – corporate
partnerships at [Save the Children UK](http://www.savethechildren.org.uk/), following
17 years as director at Capital Corporate Finance, an independent broker to the
factoring and invoice discounting market. She has also worked as a face-to-face
payroll giving fundraiser, and at Capital Corporate Finance, helped raise £800,000
for [Childline](https://www.childline.org.uk/), earning herself a Childline Patron’s
Award.

Over the coming year, Mackenzie has said she is looking to work with charities,
governing bodies and the sector as a whole to help challenge and change the perception
of fundraising that has been built up from recent negative press.

Commenting on her appointment, Mackenzie said:

> “There have been many changes and challenges in fundraising recently, so it’s
> an honour to have the opportunity work with Pure Fundraising who are already leading
> their field in terms of their ethical and supporter focussed approach to fundraising.
> “Charities are doing a fantastic job in very challenging circumstances, so I want
> to ensure that Pure commits to working with charities of all sizes, helping them
> respond to the challenges that recent changes in fundraising regulation present.”

Founded in 2002, Pure Fundraising was bought by Parseq in 2014, and was sold to
holding company Pure 2016 along with Pell & Bales in June this year.
